Nimble

This work is a fantasy of being able to be as quick and nimble as the beautiful Hummingbirds who visit our feeder and Pomegranate tree. Hummingbirds are one of my favorite subjects because their colors are “structural” like my Polage art. In other words, they are not chemical; the colors come from bending and interference of light waves like in a prism. This is the purest kind of color and it is one reason Polage® art has such a distinctive pallet, as do hummingbird feathers.

The image changes, not with a motor, but with electronic signals to a special liquid crystal panel specially made for this purpose. This piece can be hung just like a framed painting. 16.5″ x 16.6″ x 1.5″ The music accompanying this video is not a part of the artwork. It is added as a soundtrack for the Internet only.
