Austine created this Triptych, “Our Favorite Uncle: Prometheus,” for herself after finishing the piece for the Boston Museum of Science. Her idea was to create a more poetic history of Mankind’s place on this planet. The imagery depicts the conflict between man’s heavy use of technology and the well being of Nature. It was initially invited to be included in a temporary show at Technorama in Winthertur Switzerland. It was so popular, the museum raised the funds to purchase it.
